Telescopes set up to see Dall sheep on the mountain slopes. Rangers on hand to identify sheep. Great introduction to the park. Free entry.
Kluane NP Visitor Center
80 Alaska Hwy, Haines Junction. Get trail conditions, wildlife reports, and backcountry permits here. Excellent exhibits on the icefield and First Nations history.

116 Auriol St, Haines Junction. Best cafΓ© in the region β fresh baked goods, great coffee, friendly staff. Perfect breakfast stop before the glacier flight.

Commemorates the completion of the Alaska Highway in 1942. Panoramic views over Kluane Lake and the surrounding peaks. Interpretive signs with fascinating WWII history. Good for all older kids.

Short trails near the visitor centre with excellent mountain sheep viewing. Best in morning. Bring binoculars.

Full-day loop through subalpine terrain with great views of Kluane peaks. For adults and older teens. Excellent for seeing the park beyond the highway corridor.
