Stop 3: Cassiar Highway
Three days of epic wilderness driving through some of the most stunning landscapes in North America. The Cassiar Highway through northern BC has been compared to Yosemite β towering mountains, pristine lakes, and virtually no traffic.

β½ Fuel Critical Points
Fill up at: Whitehorse β Watson Lake β Dease Lake β Stewart/Meziadin Junction. Gaps can exceed 200 km. Never pass a fuel station without filling.

Virtually no cell service on the Cassiar. Download offline maps before leaving Whitehorse. Walkie-talkies essential for RV convoy communication.
π» Bear Country
Meziadin Lake is known for many bears β particularly grizzlies near the lake. Follow all bear protocols. Bear spray out and accessible at camp.
π Road Conditions
Cassiar is mostly paved with some gravel sections. Road quality is generally good but drive carefully on gravel. Slow down for wildlife β caribou often on road.
