πŸ’‘Cassiar Highway Tips

β›½ Fuel Critical Points

Fill up at: Whitehorse β†’ Watson Lake β†’ Dease Lake β†’ Stewart/Meziadin Junction. Gaps can exceed 200 km. Never pass a fuel station without filling.

πŸ“± No Signal

Virtually no cell service on the Cassiar. Download offline maps before leaving Whitehorse. Walkie-talkies essential for RV convoy communication.

🐻 Bear Country

Meziadin Lake is known for many bears β€” particularly grizzlies near the lake. Follow all bear protocols. Bear spray out and accessible at camp.

🚐 Road Conditions

Cassiar is mostly paved with some gravel sections. Road quality is generally good but drive carefully on gravel. Slow down for wildlife β€” caribou often on road.
